I can't speak for Chad, but I think you're massively misinterpreting this.

The point is that an assassination attempt on Trump puts massive wind into his campaign sails, and it came right in the middle of Biden being repeatedly pronounced as a senile old coot.

This very likely just decided the election. And yah, that's dumb, but that's America.

And when Trump wins, that's it. That's the end of democracy in the States.
