Also wondering about this. My bulshit sensor is spiking but maybe it's calibrated too sensitive after learning everything around ultra processed food and how those are somehow recommended and 'healthy' choices.
quoting nevent1q…uuacHelp me nostr! A few days ago a report came out by our public health agency after which they warned to avoid eggs produced by people who keep chickens as a hobby because they contain large amounts of PFAS.
I have fully read the report but don't hsve enough knowledge to detect potential flaws.
Concerns:
- No place in the country is apparently safe.
- Apparently eating 1 egg a day already crosses safety margins (set by the EU). (I eat at least 5 a day)
- Commercially produced eggs are safe.
Why I am skeptical and questions that i have:
- They were mostly wrong with their covid spread modelling and vaccine advice.
- How come pasture foraging chickens on commercial farms seem to be fine?
- Are these safety limits overblown? I know nothing about PFAS and what safe limits are and what risks they pose when consumed in larger quantities?
- Do you think i should avoid eating eggs by hobbyists?
- Am i being psy-oped?
