Looks like EU electric car makers may need to buy carbon credits from Chinese firms exporting electric cars to the EU;
if, EU firms use the 'pooled' carbon credit system, to try to avoid the fines the EU levels on emissions, the most numerous credits on offer have been allocated to Chinese firms whose EVs are (relatively) cleaner than EU manufacturers hybrids & semi-electric cars.
Looks like giving the Chinese another income line in their competition with EU car firms!
