start & inspiration?
To escape life, I told myself stories early, but was convinced I couldn’t write. Then, LOTR at 15, the year I wrote my 1st stories.
In 1991, returning to college + feedback from professors re-awoke the desire to write.
Ray Bradbury’s advice in Zen in the Art of Writing lead to my 1st novel, The Other Side of the Aperture (2000). It was epic/portal fantasy. Truly serious, committed writing started in 2014.
