The only consolation, is that people who create will be able to go back to doing what they do when the dust has settled, if they haven't starved or worse. I think in a few years, "AI" as a marketing device, is going to be like how "Made in China" was viewed in the 70's and 80's, synonymous with poorly constructed, sub-standard wares. It became a slur. It took them decades to turn it around.
