I'm not sure I understand your concern? NAT is used throughout networking (this include ISPs) If you have an IP address that allows you to connect to the internet then that is the IP that you can use to connect to your home machine.
If the ISP gave you the IP and it alows you to connect to the internet then that is your public ip. NAT is just a way for routers to connect many machines to one ip.
perhaps you're thinking of a "static IP" which you don't need unless you absolutely need to have the same IP address for ever.
