A cuppa break. On these hot days it is good to get as much done as possible as early as possible.
Garden is watered where needed. Strawberries and chillies are picked and in the freezer. Ingredients for tonight's salad all picked and soaking/being washed. Quinoa cooked in #InstantPot. I'll cook some urad dal, puy lentils, and toor dal today (IP of course), for the freezer, for future me. The toor dal is soaking, as are some shiikake mushrooms for salads and use over the next couple of days.
I find that putting all the greens from the garden straight into water and letting soak for 15 mins or so keeps the fresher. With just a quick rinse they wilt very quickly.
Not much else happening here today in this extreme heat. Reading, tennis, music, perhaps a movie.
