I would suggest considering a few things, Gandhi was a absolute racist and he's still revered for demonstrating the power of unarmed protest. When I still used other social media, I remember watching some things pass my feeds from friends in the arabic world. They were memes or graphical posts about USA and UK. Not very different from anything on the threads we are discussing. Just a thought
