Offered to buy my housemate airfare to visit his family for Christmas or Thanksgiving. I was really hoping to have the house to myself for a bit.

Turns out he likes it here and doesn't want to go back.

I'm glad he likes it here, and the more I hear about his family, the more I understand not wanting to go back.
