Some seem to think that it is meant to be the Golden Mask from Tomb Raider II Gold. However, Phil Campbell (project lead TR2 gold levels) stated that TR3's treasure room was long finished before he even wrote "The Golden Mask of Tornarsuk" - that's according to the "Tomb Raider Traveler's Guide".
