technically speaking, the chatmail developers are contracted at merlinux but not for running nine which happens totally on the side but without an extra legal form (yet?). We have a tentative "Multi-Address" dev plan for dc apps where each chat profile would use several chatmail servers, migrating to new ones if old ones are inoperable .... It would then be less problematic to onboard on random servers .... Driven by the motto of https://testrun.org but it will take a while.
