Raised this native shrubby St John's wort (Hypericum prolificum according to the vendor) from seed I started 2 yrs ago. It was a slow growing small plant that took off this year & bloomed for the 1st time this month.

Came across some wild native St John's wort (different native species) 3 yrs ago & fell in love w/ the flowers which I'd never seen before.

I always think of popping off a bloom & wearing it as a fancy hat 😜 .
