Hello nostr pblebs, a few months ago I deleted my twitter account and I finally joined NOSTR!
My main reasons for exiting Twitter were:
- Social media eats away our attention, which is our more valuable resource. Our full attention is the most precious gift that we can give to our loved ones and without it, we are incapable of reasoning clearly.
- Social media algorithms propagate certain ideas and limit the reach of others insidiously. This is arguably more dangerous than outright censorship because it keeps users under the illusion of free speech where none exists.
- Technocrats like Musk and Zuckerberg manipulate their algorithms to advance their personal ideological goals undermining liberal democracy.
NOSTR gives me hope that a better world is possible and I want to do my part in the right for our inalienable right to free speech.
Looking forward to reconnecting with old twitter friends.
