COOL FREE RINGTONES (npub10l8…vrsg) ploopys are optical (pixart sensor) so the bearings are just performative. i have to scrape them out from time to time but it works ok.
micro-fine movements are a pain sometimes but those are only relevant to FPS games which i only play because its all friend groups want to play
some people replace them with tiny ball transfer units and similar, but its a chore to source/print/mod that.
