Members of the National Guard and Active Duty troops came together to support response and recovery efforts across North Carolina following Hurricane Helene.
Without hesitation, these service members dropped everything to help their fellow citizens in crisis.
Because of that, 850 survivors have been rescued, 650 miles of roads were cleared, 600,000 gallons of water were distributed, and 99% of power and communications have been restored.
Today, I gave them my thanks.
