Want to Find UFOs? That's a Job for Machine Learning
Trying to find unidentified objects in space is exhausting. I mean, have you ever looked at how big the sky is? And the sky is cluttered with identified objects, like satellites, space debris, birds, airplanes, astronaut gloves, and more. A new paper proposes a machine learning algorithm pipeline method that can guzzle down images of the sky and quickly identify what they are and what materials they're composed of. Once you've identified everything you can, what you're left with is, by definition, unidentified.
