Does anyone in the #ai crowd or the #cosmology or #astronomy crowds have suggestions for resources I can use with my 14 year old students, regarding image classification (probably)?
And resources to get me up to speed too?
They would like to work in #python to train an AI to do something as-yet-undecided with the #jameswebb telescope public datasets. In little chunks, no one has GPU.
The background is that this is a coaching situation, and they have to do a tiny bit of research into a STEM area of study. But they're a super keen pair with big ambition. Key interests are pulsars, possibly galaxy classification.
I'm a python programmer, but that's the extent of my skill and knowledge overlap with what they're trying to do. (We'll, that and being a well organised adult).
