So I'm coming from a DELL Precision 5570 with a NVIDIA graphics card. So I'm mostly comparing to that one. I had problems getting the dell to run on Ubuntu and it just worked on Manjaro. Since then I just kept using it, was a recommendation by our sys admin.
I got the 13" version, no GPU. The keyboard is excellent, reminds me of my old macbook pro from > 10y ago. Touchpad works well, feels nicer than my DELL one, but I'm also not too picky on that. The keyboard is a *lot* nicer than my dell.
I especially wanted the smaller 13" one, because I wanted it to be lightweight and portable. At home I have it plugged into my dell docking station which worked out of the box with two external monitors, ethernet, mouse keyboard.
The display is very clear and also a more enjoyable to read in different light environments. When there was some sun you could not read anything from the dell, it's a lot better on the framework. Weight you can look up on the specs.
Regarding battery life I can't say too much (it's 3 days old). But what I'm very happy about already: The battery does not get sucked out while it is sleeping. On my dell one the battery was nearly empty when I just closed the lid and opened a few hours later (might have been some configuration issue as well, but I don't remember touching anything, and on the FW it just works).
Manjaro: Try it out. I can recommend 10/10 and. It's based on Arch and you can use the Arch user repository for installing software, they almost got everything one needs and you can install and update from the software tool that it ships with which makes it comfotable to work with. Manjaro is like using Arch, but you have sensible defaults. Installation is super easy, not in any kind more difficult than Ubuntu or sth similiar. And Arch / Manjaro have a great community to help you. I'm using the KDE Plasma desktop (https://manjaro.org/products/download/x86)
