Just got around to reining in my ADHD for long enough to read the first page of Aurora (thank you, mixed salts of alpha-methylphenethylamine), and I gotta say, this is quite something to behold. Like a fine steak or an expensive cheese, you want to go slowly, piece by piece, paragraph by paragaph, to savor every bite of it, swirl it around your mouth, let it melt on your tongue, and wash it down with a nice Chianti before moving on to the next.
This is not a book you can speedread in order to absorb as much information as quickly as possible, it's something you must read one page at a time because you may end up getting lost in your own experience and being whisked away into a daydream on short notice.
Also, I must say, even the English translation is quite excellent, and definitely feels very true to the original (I've compared both).
