I tried reading the Terry Brooks books (which I loved as a kid!) to my kids after the Rangers Apprentice/Brotherband/Royal Ranger books, and decided that they hadn't aged well. I also loved Piers Anthony (he was in my father's class in high school, but wasn't remembered fondly or much at all) and a few of his stories were formative for me, but yeah, wonder how they'd go today.",
