A friend just bought and moved into a home, and discovered that the prior owner had left behind their composting tumbler, a nice model that retails for about $50. This seems like a much better investment, though perhaps at a somewhat lower price point, for municipal distribution than the continued proliferation of blue bins for recycling that largely doesn’t get recycled.
Green bins for food and/or organic waste are pretty common outside of the US, are there any US cities doing that?
