Crux of the issue is that this service accomplishes bridging by using an architecture that is essentially a large scale man-in-the-middle. They literally have server side user keys that can decrypte DMs sent to the bridge. People aren't willing to take their word that those keys won't be used to compromise PII. 👇🏿
