This sword has probably the most ubiquitous pommel type from the early Medieval period in Europe right through to the early Renaissance period. Referred to as the Disc or Wheel pommel by historians.
my new arming sword, the Liutger from Malleus Martialis. despite looking like a real sharp sword, it is a sparring safe blunt trainer with a surprising amount of flex! I think this is the prettiest sword I’ve owned yet.
