npub1eurjt2r7wxqdaq7uyny2zjfzqarm3lgmmn8x033wnheddh7ld8aqjsd0hs (npub1eur…d0hs) I don't know of any published model results which have been this aggressive in ocean warming so soon. I do know that if one had tried to publish such modeling results 10 years ago, it may not even have made it through peer review. I've always held that the shocking figure npub1mhz9gsm9398t29pfndkctnhjgrypz5ptxexdtul4tmk4xmyxt8usdswteh (npub1mhz…wteh) and colleagues published in 2007, observations of sea level tracking along the highest bounds of IPCC model forecasts (below), showed that climate denialism had crept into the scientific enterprise, or that we completely misunderstood the physics of our climate system that we were so willing to modify for the economy. I favored the first explanation - that caustic politics had quenched the highest modeled rates of climate change as simply too inconvenient to believe and/or to publish. I hope someone sorts through the scraps of unpublished model outputs to figure out what physics may be responsible for such a change in the ocean's expression of heat gain.
