Physically write down (no typing, no mumbling, no “thinking in your head”) three good things that happened the day before.
Negative things that didn’t happen (e.g. “I didn’t trip and fall”) don’t count.
Try to avoid repeats from the previous morning, but if that’s all you can muster, go with it.
Any stupid little thing counts. Had a good conversation with a cashier? The lights were mostly green on the way to work? The toilet at whatever restaurant/coffee shop was clean? Write it down.
The purpose is to get your mind into the habit of purposely scanning the past to look for the good.
Do it for at least three weeks and it permanently (or least, for a very long time, like years) modifies your brain to be noticeably more positive.
Also a strong faith in Jesus and his righteous fury when he comes to vanquish evil once and for all, but that’s another thing entirely.
