I remember as a kid, we used to go to my grandparents house and they had a bowl of peanuts 🥜 on the coffee table but you had to crack them open to get to the nuts inside.

I thought my grandpa’s shoe horn was for cracking the peanuts open.

Fast forward to my young adult years and I’m at a store and I’m like, “oh nice, a peanut cracker.” …and my friend was like, “Jon, that’s to slip into your shoes easier.”

At least your daughter knows that a shoe horn is for putting on shoes …at age 12.
