(a) has flavour
(b) travels poorly
(c) keeps badly
(d) is hard or impossible to get
(e) is prohibitively expensive
(f) one needs a little bit of occasionally, like herbs
Our garden is small, unproductive and indifferently cared for but gives us surprisingly - occasionally overwhelmingly - large quantities of certain things on the list.
