I welcome them as people will move to ad free subscriptions and maybe podcast creators can share in the revenue like musicans or videos on Spotify and not have to rely on crappy ad insertions.

Or better still users will accept paying micropayments to creators. Podcasters could even set a default value for listening ie §100 SATs per minute.

Podcasting shouldn’t be a second class free medium but how do we change peoples mindset.
