It seems like something more interesting down the line, as we know dead wood will help give them a home, and thinning creates deadwood. So I’ve been happy with “they’ll probably turn up” and keeping an eye out.

Yeah we plant all sorts of fruiting trees and shrubs. I would expect our ecologist is considering that specifically but I’ll double check!
