I think it can be really difficult for people who aren't trans women to understand how serious and how dangerous trasmisogyny is.

This is a particular risk if you're only familiar with trans women who are prominent and thriving.

I personally know at least three trans women who are absolutely brilliant and are living in poverty and struggling to stay housed. They are turned away from all kinds of jobs, from low level retail to jobs they're well qualified for.
