On January 31, the Government of Norte de Santander released a bulletin that tallied 52 people murdered (among them five ex-combatants), 52,630 forcibly displaced, and 31,358 confined at home. The Office of the Inspector General (Procuraduría Nacional) has also warned about the unschooling of at least 46,000 children and adolescents in the region resulting from the armed confrontations between the ELN and the 33rd Front."
