this is such bullshit. they could buy a property and staff it themselves, so that all the money went where it should. but instead they just say 'oh we have nowhere to send them' and funnel money into this.
The house I grew up in was set back from the street with no neighbours either side (just across the road). It was bulldozed and rebuilt as a children's home. I don't know if it's good there, but it's a grand size of a house and well placed for it.
