Nostr has consistently maintained the same number of users for years. Not growing and not shrinking. Though there is certainly turnover. Find one thread of an abandoned account, and you can weave a whole outfit of a bygone social graph.
So it has me wondering, must Bitcoin systems and organizations grow or die? If it’s able to replace lost users, is that sufficient for sustainability? Fiat forces growth-at-all-cost mindsets. But why must that be necessary for things on Bitcoin? Why can’t sustainable be an accepted outcome?
