Mahmoud 'Alaa Ghanem, 18, from the town of Dura in Hebron District, was on his way to Bethlehem with friends when soldiers stopped them at a checkpoint for no apparent reason. Mahmoud was forced into a jeep and subjected to physical abuse and humiliation. He was then dumped in an open field at an unknown location, with bruises and injuries all over his body, damage to his right ear, and blurred vision that requires ongoing treatment.
