The reason the feud exists is because when you compare the pros and cons of each, Wasabi dominates in literally every category:

-There is no reason whatsoever for Samourai to be running a Whirlpool coinjoin coordinator that creates toxic change. They should be running a WabiSabi coinjoin coordinator that makes ALL coins private with zero links.

-There is no reason whatsoever for Samourai to be collecting their users' xpub addresses. Wasabi does not collect their users' xpub addresses since it syncs balances locally using compact block filters.

-There is no reason whatsoever for Samourai to force new mixers to pay the mining fees of remixers. This creates a vulnerability that allows sybil attackers to spy in an indefinite number of rounds after only making a one time payment. Wasabi does not allow attackers to participate for free, users pay for the exact amount of block space they use.

-There is no reason whatsoever for Samourai to make their coordinator code closed source. This proves they are treating Bitcoin privacy as a for-profit industry that they intend to monopolize. Every single line of Wasabi, including the backend coordinator, is completely open source. Anyone can coordinate their own Wasabi coinjoins, including Samourai themselves.

There's not a single privacy based tradeoff anyone can come up with as to why they would use Whirlpool instead of Wasabi.
