Also, speaks to the larger point that convenience is boring. This is a problem outside of music, too, because ~99% of #tech services are convenience - add to that a massive profit motive & these vendors have to convince os that boring is exciting & needs constant additions & upgrades & price hikes, when in reality almost all of it is like a light switch: Should be fairly cheap & once installed should basically work forever & never draw attention to itself.
