Besides being home to the iconic Fushimi Inari Shrine, Kyoto’s Fushimi Ward is known for being Japan’s second-largest sake-producing area. It is possible to visit some of the sake breweries (image 3), a few of which are located along Horikawa Canal (image 2) – where boat tours are available, and locals like to walk their dogs 🐕.
