I see this in the short term, but its not a long term solution, depending on how quickly a bitcoin standard occurs. I'm pretty bullish on my opinion, but who truly knows. With 70% of homes being owner-occupied, that would bring another 30% to the market which would level the demand, but we still don't physically have enough homes for our population. We'll need to build more.

At some point, sooner than later I would think, you'll need to earn bitcoin rather than buy it. Housing is a need. Landlords could ask for rent in bitcoin. So owning real estate as an investment could still be a lucrative option once bitcoin is traded as the monetary standard, and it could return to an investment.
