Random musings re developer science today: it's really hard to ask about "code quality." We need better inventories. People have deep and strong feelings about it but I also believe strongly that "code quality" is a catch-all term that refers to like, a billion different scenarios. There is a lot of work to be done to think about the constructs involved here. Our beliefs about and perceptions of the code we work with, for one thing, and our beliefs about what will happen if (/when) it "fails"
