When he occasionally does make something approaching an actual claim about the world, it's a vapid one at that (e.g. will to power) and leaves no clue as to what evidence if any motivated it. It's like vidrel except with even more post-modernism. As to what constitutes a spook, my impression is that something ceases to be a spook if it is not held above the ego but rather used as a tool. I agree that Nietzsche's spooks are preferable (I already had similar notions of ubermensch myself, but solely on metrics of free thought like to what degree one can consider an idea without first believing it, which is taboo to Christianity), but I'm confused as to how he got to the position he now holds with how much cryptic and inane stuff is in his works.
