I deleted my Twitter account the day Elon Musk bought it. Hate everything that guy stands for. But I can't help but reminisce the old Twitter days way back 2010. Used to be less toxic and more town squarey vibe. The recent years before Musk had already been quite a disaster, but even then, it remained to be a decent socmed for academics and researchers. As an academic, Twitter was the best networking site so sad that many new academics won't have that opportunity. Hope they find something in the fediverse! (Not threads 😵💫🥴)
