"content": "People don't talk about it this way, but it was such a shocker to me when Elon Musk started charging egregious amounts for access to the twitter API. Not just because it's gross. But because it effectively made it so people can no longer exfiltrate their data from twitter. Most people still report that they have never succeeded at requesting their data archive. At one point I had a mind to use the API to approximate a data archive export. But now it's being held hostage.",
