You don't offend me as you are respectful and seem of good faith
The point here is not to say that life would be easy with the good mindset, even if it surely would be a bit easier without all the negative thoughts, envy and anger.
The point is just for those with what I call parasitic mindset, to acknowledge that they are better off with this horrible job rather that without it. It's not up to you to decide if the salary is fair or not. The fairness is decided naturally through the value you bring on a free market which determines how much you are worth. Their is nothing more fair than voluntary cooperation between individuals.
Plus you are missing the point, most of these people could very well start a business to do the exact same job they are already doing, as independent contractors.
Their is a lot of jobs which are not capital intensive. Sometimes they'd need to take a loan sure, but it's within the reach of almost anyone to start a modest business, this is a false excuse to say the opposite.
But here again they don't do it because it's risky to do so, and they prefer to have a fix income decided in advanced by contract.
