US law should not allow presidents to deploy troops without declaring war or an obvious immediate threat being present. In the case of the latter, it should be extremely limited in duration and attacking them should never demand a military response.

The reason we need to make this change is because our troops are considered a deterrent to violence wherever they are present. Sounds great but it means we are choosing sides and it encourages bases everywhere, wasting a ton of tax money. #uspol
