There have been many improvements over the past 5 years. Where will it be 5 years from now? I don't think it will ever be macOS or have the option to run macOS but it WILL improve.

A lot of folks complain about Google apps on iPadOS. I've not used them but it seems the folks at Google could make those much better and it would make the iPad far more useful for a lot of people.
