Yes, I think a core for me is some sort of intentional layer of “protection” or building with the expectation of some type of utopia or ease that comes with distance. And, as I am typing this, I am wondering how this mentality can also show up in urban and rural areas too (maybe in smaller, less institutionalized levels) or through some forms of gentrification. & Framing gentrification sometimes as the suburbanization of cities.
