Cueva del Espíritu Santo in Morazán has ancient rock art, Cueva de los Fierros is in the Tecapa volcanic region, and Cueva del Ermitaño near La Libertad is locally significant. While it lacks major limestone caves, volcanic caves and rock shelters do exist.
