That person is known amongst local event organizers to purposefully cause trouble and drama.
(Or so I have been told in the meantime and before making this post / reacting)
Since this is all happening in the open with no way of contacting them (block) directly, I addressed the issue this way. Their "I wasn't invited" post reaches a lot more people than my "everyone is invited to join".
