I’ve thoroughly enjoyed Dark Souls as a series, because even if it’s not some Buddhist/Shintoist commentary, it still says a lot about how we should embrace adversity as something inherent to our lives to let it better us through trial and error, that accepting defeat and rotting away removes us from ambition to the point that it permanently removes our drive to move forward in life - thus going “Hollow.”
