This was an ironic spin on "Twitter creators" getting payed by Elons dirty ad money. Large accounts got payed a few $k in fiat payouts from ad revenue.
I prefer the value for value model. The incentives are better aligned, its instant settlement with lightning, no kyc, and micropayments done directly by followers/viewers, and zaps are rewarded to specific notes.

And these are just from the zaps, not the tips. And these sats are going to be worth a lot more in the future. I will hodl them dear to my heart.
As nostr continues to improve and expand, people are going to want a slice of the Value-For-Value economy, zaps will increase, and we will get paid more.
